Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

Design of substation structures, foundations, civil grading of substation sites

Meet submission & fabrication schedules

Required Skills/Abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering

3 Years or more of credible experience
-
Knowledge of shallow and deep foundation calculations and theory
-
Preferred experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, STAAD Pro, LPile, and RISA Foot.

Experience preparing and reviewing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) preferred
-
Site layout, grading, drainage, erosion, and sediment control experience preferred
-
Knowledge of preparing calculations

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.

Must have excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving

Must be able to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision

Electro-Mechanical Designer

Candidates will need a solid understanding of drafting techniques and of engineering terminology in order to provide support to Engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and diagrams.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create full-scale and detailed designs.

Organizes structural, electrical, and mechanical designs.

Draws plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on instructions provided by engineers.

Determines the types of materials needed and calculates the quantity to be ordered.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Candidate must be capable of effective communication, working in a team-oriented manner with strong analytical and organizational skills

Communicate Effectively with co-workers, vendors, clients, etc.

The Civil Engineering Technician will perform engineering and design duties for transmission line or substation design, foundation design, and civil grading of substation sites which require application of engineering principles

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
